We passed an interesting island with a nice sandy beach so we took the dingy back up to Gaulding Cay South, just a ½ hr by dingy. including some with active flowstone. This island had more of the endangered iquanas and some interesting caves
Our chart showed a small bay at the north of the Great Guana Cay (Black Point) and it was not too rough so we explored by dingy. We found a recently wrecked cruising sailboat and another cruiser anchored in the small bay. We ended up talking with Mark and Michelle for a long time about their cruising experiences and it turns out Michelle worked in New Bern and Mark had a long experience with multihulls.
The people here at Black Point are really friendly and Scorpios has great happy hour prices and excellent rum punches and reasonable food. All the folks from Tuesday’s happy hour had already moved on so we met a couple from Wilmington and then joined their friends from Quebec and listened while they sang songs in French.
